Basic Physician Training at the LGH will be exposed to a wide range of medical specialties well supported provide a broad experience in both inpatient and outpatient work.

Launceston General Hospital is accredited as level III training hospital by RACP with access to the NW Regional Hospital to fulfil all BPT training requirements. 

Details of Appointment (Service Registrar)

• Multiple Fixed Term full time, day worker positions working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 1 February 2027 until 6 February 2028 (Service Registrar). “Negotiation of contracts of up to two years may be applicable”. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Fixed Term full time, day worker with on call position working 76 hours per fortnight, with an additional 10 hours of protected training time commencing from 1 February 2027 until 6 February 2028 (BPT position)

- Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $138,978 - $194,675 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging 

- 3 year contracts may be offered where applicable.
